Serena, Fantasy Guy, and A Reward for Reading San Diego Sports Guy
No doubt about it, Serena is in. Now it's just a matter of how close she is to #1...Welcome to the weekend dot dot dot. Well, it has been five weeks now and to the delight of Stacey Dash & Rajon Rondo the San Diego Sports Guy is still plugging away. I've told ten people about this blog (thus the reference to tens of readers a week ago) and although there may only be one or two still reading, I'm going to continue because I've enjoyed commenting on a few things that are going on in the world today. Initially I had planned to only post a couple times a week, but my goal is to now post something every weekday and once on Saturday or Sunday. Most posts will be short & sweet so if you should happen to stumble upon this site you can read quickly, roll your eyes at the absurdity of some (or all as the case may be) of the opinions, and then move on to your day-to-day responsibilities...
At the end of the next NBA season I intend to submit my retirement papers as far as fantasy sports are concerned. Over the past 10+ years participating in fantasy sports I've accumulated a small fortune in winnings. By small fortune I mean thousands of dollars. Wait, check that. In case any IRS agents ever read this it has been only one thousand dollars...I swear. Instead of selfishly winning money year after year, in a true act of altruism I will be giving back to the loyal and faithful readers of this blog (even if there are only two of you out there). At the end of August I'll provide an NFL Fantasy Preview column that will enable you to win your league and in October an NBA Fantasy Preview will be posted as well. Speaking of fantasy sports...
In the first installment of a very special eight part series, In Denial Guy will briefly be profiled. Anybody who has owned a fantasy sports team knows In Denial Guy. This is the guy who always has a reason why his team isn't winning or doing well. Poor drafting or roster management seldom enter the equation in IDG's mind. More often than not, IDG points to luck as the reason why another team is in first place, winning so many categories, or scoring so many points. It's always luck that a slew of mid-round draft choices on the winning team all performed above expectations. It's simply blind luck that players picked up during the season contribute so greatly to another team's dominance and enable said team to win it all. Skill and knowledge are completely irrelevant as luck is the sole determining factor in another team's success. Much to my amusement, another reason was proffered by In Denial Guy this past season in my fantasy basketball league: Abnormal Statistics. Prior to this proclamation, it never occurred to me that abnormal statistics during the course of an NBA season could cause one fantasy team to do so much better than all of the other teams. However, in IDG's mind his fantasy team would be winning or at least performing substantially better but for the abnormality of the statistics occurring over the course of each NBA team's eighty-two game season. As far as I'm concerned, it just doesn't get any better than that...

I like your style, the fact that your site is a little bit different makes it so interesting, I get fed up of seeing same-old-same-old all of the time. I've just stumbled this page for you :-D
